Objective of CSSS Scholarship Scheme

The main objective of CSSS Scholarship 2022 is to provide financial incentive to the students for their higher education. Those students who do not bear their own expenses for their higher education and come from economically weaker community, this Central Sector Scholarship is proposed to them. When students get this scholarship amount, they can easily meet their daily expenses for their studies and get improvement in their lifestyle which pushes their life towards success. Benefits and Features of CSSS Scholarship

The CSSS Scholarship Scheme has been launched or implemented by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of human resource development, Government of India for the students of our nation.
For the higher education of meritorious students are provided to the financial amount under this Central Sector Scholarship.
Even the financially weaker students who are not able to pay their academic fees for their higher education will get the benefits of the scheme.

The department of higher education has inaugurated this scheme for the Indian students in the session of the 11th five-year plan.
Every year approximately 82000 scholarships are furnished through this scheme for the students.
Under CSS Scholarship 2021, boys and girls are covered equally in which 41000 scholarships are furnished for the boys and 41000 scholarships are furnished for the girls.
By the government of India around Rs 1000 crores, every year has been released for the execution of the scholarship scheme.
As per the scholarship scheme, the government has offered undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the students.

Central Sector Scheme Of Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selection procedure of the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is dependent on the merit list that has been allocated by quota. After the selection has been made of the student then it will be sent to the two distinctive levels for further verification such as

It will be first verified by the institute where the student is studying
After the institute verification it will be sent to the respective state Education Board

Renewal Of CSSS Scholarship Scheme 2021

Under the CSSS Scholarship Scheme, it is mandatory for students to do graduation or post graduation in the same stream, only then they can take advantage.
Under this scheme by the central government, the student should have secured at least 55% or more marks in the previous examination, only then will be eligible for CSSS Scholarship.
Under the CSSS Scholarship for the education of poor children started by the Central Government, the student is required to maintain at least 75% attendance.
Under this scheme the candidate should not indulge in any ragging activities then only benefit will be provided.
Under the CSSS Scholarship by the Central Government, a student can avail the benefit for a maximum period of 5 years and can be given both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

CSSS Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship scheme:-

The applicants must be in the top 20th percentile merit list of class 12 results of concerned boards (SEB/CBSE/ICSE).
He/She must be pursuing regular courses of graduation/postgraduation/professional studies from colleges/universities recognised by AICTE, UGC, MCI, DCI or other regulatory bodies.
The candidates belonging to reserved categories of SC, ST, OBC and PWD will get a reservation of 15%, 7.5%, 27% and 5%, respectively.
The candidates’ annual family income must not exceed INR 8 Lakh.
The applicants must not be availing of any other scholarship benefits.
Also, those students who are pursuing Diploma courses are not eligible for this merit-cum-means scholarship.

Process to Renew CSSS Scholarship Application Form
